BC-DMT stands for board-certified dance/movement therapist, and signifies that an individual has the experience to work in a private practice setting, teach in a dance/movement therapy training program, and supervise interns. Individuals achieve their board certification upon completing hours of supervised work as an R-DMT, and completing the application process.
